Constitution Day 2025: Make Your Mark

Constitution Day 2025: Make Your Mark

Celebrate Constitution Day with a creative and civic twist!

Join Carnegie Mellon University Libraries and the Office of Community Engagement and Leadership Development for a hands-on, drop-in workshop where you’ll craft your very own pocket-sized U.S. Constitution. Decorate the covers, personalize the pages, and take home a unique keepsake that connects you to the nation’s founding document.

Enjoy snacks and refreshments while exploring opportunities to make a difference in your community. Representatives from the League of Women Voters will be on-site to help new Pennsylvania voters get registered. You'll also have a chance to view a special video presentation highlighting the Libraries' original printed copy of the Bill of Rights.

This annual Constitution Day program commemorates the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787, and fulfills the federal requirement for educational programming at institutions that receive federal funding. The University Libraries has marked this occasion since 2005, with past programs exploring topics like gerrymandering, voting rights, and the Civil War Amendments.
