Citizen Science Featurettes presents: Galaxy Zoo!

Citizen Science Featurettes presents: Galaxy Zoo! Online

To understand how galaxies formed, astrophysicists need your help to classify them according to their shapes. If you're quick, you may even be the first person to see the galaxies you're asked to classify!

This event is a 1.5-hour virtual workshop introducing students to the project that started it all, Galaxy Zoo!

Each Citizen Science Featurette includes:

  1. Orientation and training in the project’s methodology
  2. Hands-on “field-test” of the project interface
  3. Debrief and discussion

This event is open to participants of all disciplines and skill levels and requires no special knowledge or skills to participate.

This event is scheduled for Friday, June 18th from 1-2:30 pm ET. The set-up instructions and Zoom link will be sent to you in a registration confirmation email. Seating is limited so please only register for the workshop if you can commit to doing the prep work beforehand.
