Live demo of Just One Giant Lab (JOGL) open science platform

Live demo of Just One Giant Lab (JOGL) open science platform Online

JOGL (Just One Giant Lab) is as an international community, a non-profit, open-source, collaborative platform, and a bastion to open-science and impact innovation. Last month, JOGL’s co-founder and CEO, Thomas Landrain, met with the OSDC team to demo the platform and discuss the opportunities it presents for academic researchers interested in leveraging the “wisdom of the crowd.” On November 10th at 11 am EST, we're hosting a follow-up presentation of the JOGL platform and methodology to provide CMU students and researchers a glimpse of how one open science community is helping shape the future of scientific discovery and innovation.

This 1-hour session will include:

  1. Presentation of JOGL's methodology as a model of open science outside of academia
  2. Tour and demo of the JOGL platform for academic research applications
  3. Q&A with the platform's creators

This event is open to participants of all disciplines and skill levels and requires no special knowledge or skills to participate.

The set-up instructions and Zoom link will be sent to you in a registration confirmation email. Seating is limited so please only register for the workshop if you can commit to doing the prep work beforehand.

OSDC’s Citizen Science programming is designed to engage the public in the scientific process by connecting them to active citizen science projects opportunities online and in the local community and provide researchers access to large pools of volunteers to enable large scale data collection and processing.
