DBER Part 2:Education research methods Online

Research on teaching and learning tells us that evidence-based tools and practices can enhance the impact on student learning, offer better experiences to students, and take our teaching to the next level. Discipline-based education research (DBER) maintains that generalizable knowledge about teaching and learning is most effective when paired with a deep understanding of discipline-specific learning challenges and instructional strategies. The first workshop in this series offerd an introduction to DBER concepts and literatures and provided an overview to the field. This workshop will describe education research methods, and a subsequent workshop will introduce project planning (Apr 20).
