Navigating Data and Information: a Bootcamp

Join the CMU Libraries for an immersive, bootcamp-style training on navigating information and data ecosystems. This training is designed for undergraduate students planning to pursue research, graduate school, or starting their career. This bootcamp is intended for undergraduate students finishing their 3rd year. No previous research experience is required to participate.

In this two-day training, participants will learn practical, strategic methods for finding, evaluating, and using data and information. This interactive training will allow students to apply their learning to their specific interests or research. Participants will leave the training feeling confident and equipped to discuss best practices and current issues related to the information and data ecosystems.

The training will take place May 11-12, 2023 from 9:00am-4:00pm each day in Hunt Library. Participants must attend both training days to complete the bootcamp. The bootcamp, materials, and lunch are free. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis and a waitlist will be enabled. Registration closes April 28, 2023 at 2:00pm EDT. Please contact Brian Mathews at brianmat@andrew.cmu.edu if you have questions.
