Introduction to ArcGIS Urban
This workshop, conducted by Don Edmonds, ESRI Solutions Engineer, ESRI- Philadelphia, as part of the GIS Day 2024: Sustainable Communities and Technologies program and open for anyone to attend (software requirements listed below).
Join this hands-on workshop and seminar to learn how communities use ArcGIS Urban to test land use and zoning codes, build out sites with 3D modeling and custom metrics, and streamline the design review process by analyzing development proposals in context.
In this workshop, you will explore the plan authoring tools in Urban to create and evaluate multiple scenarios using custom metrics as design feedback. It is intended for planners, urban designers, and GIS professionals interested in a live, guided introduction to ArcGIS Urban.
- The workshop will be delivered in person at Hunt Library, Room 308
- A laptop computer is required.
- A mouse is suggested for the best navigation of the tool.

Don Edmonds Bio:
Passionate about using GIS in the field of urban planning to build stronger, more resilient cities. As a Solution Engineer on Esri's Smart Cities team, I equip local and regional governments with planning solutions to help them tackle their most challenging issues.

Take the stairs or elevators to the 3rd floor and turn left. You'll find Room 308 around the corner from the water fountain across from the Women's restroom.
