Data Insights for Public Policy: Using “Social Explorer”

Join the Love Data Week library workshop series to learn the basics of using Social Explorer (a platform used for finding and comparing current and historical census data and more) to gather social, cultural, and economic data. Social Explorer can help you streamline your demographic research and save you research time through its extensive collection of data, mapping tools, and user-friendly interface.

This one-hour workshop will cover how to navigate Social Explorer, the types of information you can gather there, and how to interpret and use the visuals provided to aid your research. By learning how to use Social explorer, you can learn how to better support your public policy research with data-backed insight and visualization.
