What’s the weather? Precipitation data sources
As part of Love Data Week, this workshop explores precipitation data's origin, ownership, and usage. Participants will discuss the societal relevance of primary data sources, credibility, and limitations of weather forecasting TV shows, citizen science, and official data sources. The session encourages critical thinking about how precipitation data influences public decisions and provides tools to navigate some platforms and apps.
This workshop does not require any software. We will be exploring data on website visors
