Python for Beginner Data Science - Data Analysis with Pandas DataFrames

This workshop is for Python users that are new to data analysis with Pandas. You will first learn basic Python techniques to read tabular data in a Pandas DataFrame and create filters and queries to select subsets of data. Then, we'll cover how to group data to do more refined analyses and creating simple plots to visualize data. Finally, you will learn how to merge and concatenate DataFrames from multiple sources. The content of this workshop is adapted from this series of lessons and uses data from the Portal Project Teaching Database: https://doi.org/10.6084/m9.figshare.1314459

Completely new to Python? Consider attending the introductory workshop: Python for Beginner Data Science - Basics and Starting with Data

This workshop will be held in-person, in the Den at Sorrells Library. This will be a hands-on workshop, so we encourage you to bring your laptop, and please ensure that you have Python and Pandas installed prior to arriving at the workshop.
