Responsible Conduct of Research Training - Day 1

This 2-day workshop is created to meet the NIH mandate on Responsible Conduct of Research for trainees receiving NIH training grants. Attendance to both days and all nine topics are required to satisfy the NIH requirement. These modules can also be extended to meet general univeristy RCR requirements.

Topics coverd in this training include: 

  1. Conflict of interest 

  2. Data acquisition, management, sharing, and licensing

  3. Research misconduct  

  4. Human subjects, animal subjects and lab safety 

  5. Mentor/Mentee relationship 

  6. Research collaborations in academia and with industry

  7. Responsible authorship

  8. Peer review 

  9. Scientist in society
