Citizen Science Featurettes presents: Humanitarian OpenStreetMap!

Citizen Science Featurettes presents: Humanitarian OpenStreetMap! Online

Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT) is an international team dedicated to humanitarian action and community development through open mapping. We work together to provide map data which revolutionises disaster management, reduces risks, and contributes to achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

This event is a 2-hour virtual workshop introducing students to the cutting-edge field of humanitarian mapping.

Each Citizen Science Featurette includes:

  1. Orientation and training in the project’s methodology
  2. Hands-on “field-test” of the project interface
  3. Debrief and discussion

This event is open to participants of all disciplines and skill levels and requires no special knowledge or skills to participate.

This event is scheduled for Thursday, September 16th from 2-4 pm ET. The set-up instructions and Zoom link will be sent to you via a reminder email 24 hours prior to the workshop.
