Getting started with Zotero

Zotero is a free, open source tool for helping you collect, organize, cite and share your research sources. It easily import citation information from library databases, Google Scholar searches, online newspapers, films from IMDB, among other source types. In this workshop, we’ll cover: Navigating Zotero 5.0 Importing and organizing references and documents from online sources and your computer Citing sources in Word and creating bibliographies Creating Zotero groups to collaborate with colleagues

No previous experience required. Please bring a laptop.

Due to COVID-19 campus restrictions, in-person workshops and events are only open to current CMU affiliates at this time.

Directions for getting to the Den of Sorrells Library:
Sorrells Library is on the 4th Floor of Wean Hall, shown on the map here. If you enter in the front of Wean Hall, take the elevator down one floor. When you exit the elevator, the library will be on your left. The Den is in the back of the library.
