Introduction to Systematic Reviews, Evidence Gap Maps and Scoping Reviews

Introduction to Systematic Reviews, Evidence Gap Maps and Scoping Reviews Online

The synthesis of existing research and knowledge can help identify research gaps, avoid research waste, and inform evidence-based decision and policy-making. There are increasingly diverse methods for evidence and research synthesis, many of which aim to lend reproducibility and transparency to the literature search and appraisal process. This session will provide an overview of the most common approaches: systematic reviews, evidence gap maps and scoping reviews. If you are considering developing an evidence synthesis project for your field, or are curious about such methods and how they apply in your discipline, please join us! You'll be provided with guidance and next steps for starting an evidence synthesis project at the end of the session.
