Introduction to Python for Data Science

This workshop serves as an introduction to Python for non-programmers with a focus on plotting and data analysis. In this workshop, we will give you a brief tour of JupyterLab and demonstrate how to do basic Python programming in Jupyter Notebooks. Then, we will demonstrate how you can use Python libraries to read tabular data, perform statistical analyses, and visualize data.

Due to COVID-19 campus restrictions, in-person workshops and events are only open to current CMU affiliates at this time.

Directions for getting to the Den of Sorrells Library:
Sorrells Library is on the 4th Floor of Wean Hall, shown on the map here. If you enter in the front of Wean Hall, take the elevator down one floor. When you exit the elevator, the library will be on your left. The Den is in the back of the library.
