SUMMARY:Data for Citizen Science and Developing Community Data
DESCRIPTION:\n\nThere is so much data out there\, but how do we know what
data we need to impact our communities for the better? As more individuals
work to apply their data skills developed through the academic programs\,
it is becoming clear that knowing where and how to use data is just as
vital within a research project as it is to support community advocacy.
\n\nThis workshop will identify how to best collect\, ethically use\, and
manage community based data projects for citizen science use. If you are
interested in learning how to best connect data skills to community
advocacy\, please join us for a hands on session using local data! \n\nThis
workshop is a part of CMU Libraries’ Communicating Data and Research
Storytelling . For other workshops in the series\, please see the links
